Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation
Maksim Demin was born on May 7, 1986.
In 2009, he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Theoretical and Experimental Physics of the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI.
From 2008 to 2014 he has worked at the Industrial Design Bureau “Promengineering” in the fields of development, construction and testing of radiation monitoring equipment at the nuclear power stations of the Russian Federation, in the Republic of Iran, India and China. He has also progressed from a specialist to the head of the Scientific and Technical Department.
In December 2013, he defended his PhD thesis on the topic “Formation of thin-film and ion-implanted gas-sensor structures on the n-6H-SiC crystal with the pulsed laser plasma usage” at the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI Council.
Specialty: 01.04.07 — condensed matter physics
In November 2015, he moved to Kaliningrad to work at the IKBFU as the Deputy Director of the Department for Research.
In September 2018, he was appointed as the IKBFU Acting Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation.
Maksim Demin is the author of 20 scientific publications in journals included in the list of Scopus.
He is also the author of 3 patents and certificates of the state registration.
Since 2017 he has been studying at the National Research University in the master's program “Higher School of Economics”.
