During the course of studies, you will take a comprehensive approach to the study of philosophical problems of consciousness, the nature of morality, taking the data of neuroscience and evolutionary biology into account. That will allow you to apply neurobiological concepts to traditional philosophical questions and categories in their modern interpretation. The acquired skills of information analysis and context understanding, together with fundamental knowledge in the field of the nature of consciousness, its origin and genesis, the structure of the brain, will allow you to explore the secrets of thinking, memory, decision-making and other properties and processes of the psyche from both the philosophical and neurophysiological points of view.

Courses & Study Load
Workload: 120 ECTS credits
In the course of study, student will acquire knowledge in the following disciplines: The Critique of Pure Reason and Kant’s epistemology; Kant’s ideas in contemporary political philosophy; Kant’s anthropology and contemporary philosophical anthropology; German neo-Kantianism: History and the Present; Kant in Russian philosophy and culture; Kant’s ideas in contemporary analytic philosophy and philosophy of language; Kant’s logic and contemporary logic.
Students complete a research project and gain research and teaching experience at the University.
Graduates hold positions at various educational institutions – schools, secondary vocational institutions, and academic and research organisations – as well as museum and libraries, public authorities, and commercial and non-profit organisations.
Admission & Tuition
To enter a Master's programme applicants are required to take the following exams:
- Written exam (or a test) in the chosen field of study (100 points maximum)
- Foreign language (a pass or fail test)
