The skills that the Masters receive can be divided into three blocks:

The first block

The skills and abilities inherent to a specialist in the field of foreign language teaching. Students improve their English: the ability to speak and communicate fluently, to translate texts from English into Russian and vice versa. They study the special terminology of sublanguages: "Information Technology", "Computing", "Game Design", including learning to translate the text content of foreign and domestic computer games, namely, replicas of game characters, all sorts of hints and inscriptions accompanying the game, game legend, etc.

The second block

Elementary skills and abilities in programming, drawing up technical tasks. Masters study game genres, principles of creating various games (action games, strategies, quests, sports games, simulators and puzzles, communication, educational and role-playing games). Students participate in workshops to create game characters and drafts of video games.

The third block

On the basis of the skills and abilities of the first two blocks deepens the theoretical and practical training of future teachers of foreign languages in the third block of disciplines - teaching. Its study assumes knowledge of innovative processes in education, methods of pedagogical research, psychology of professional education, theory of foreign language teaching and ways of introducing intercultural computer games in foreign language classes.

44.04.01. Pedagogical education. Multicultural computer games in digital education.

This program is a cross between pedagogy, linguistics and information technologies. It will interest both students with a technological education and an education in humanities. After completing this course, you will become a modern English teacher with proficiency in the latest ESL teaching technologies, including information and communication technologies. You will also be able to seek international partnerships in the educational field, as well as implement projects aimed at the international computer industry and IT clusters.

  You will gain systematic and in-depth knowledge of the theory of teaching foreign languages, pedagogical research methods, the psychology of professional education, innovative processes in education, as well as ways to introduce cross-cultural computer games in foreign language classes.

  You will learn how to translate texts from English to Russian and vice versa, including translating foreign and Russian computer games, namely, the dialogue, tutorials and hints, keywords, etc. You will also learn the special terminology of such sub-languages as "Information Technology", "Computing", "Game Design".

  You will acquire basic skills in programming, drawing up technical tasks, learn about various game genres and the principles of creating various games (such as action games, strategies, quests, sports games, simulators and puzzles, communication, educational and role-playing games). You will also be able to take part in workshops dedicated to creating game characters and sketches of future video games.

  A high level of theoretical and practical training contributes to social mobility, high competitiveness, and stability of our graduates in the labor market not only at the regional and federal but also at the international level.

Graduates of this unique program, which is an intersection of pedagogy, linguistics and information technology, will be able to acquire competences that allow both teaching English at all levels of education, including higher education, widely using information and communication technologies, in particular computer games, and implement projects for the international computer industry and IT-clusters.
