Training professionals in neuroscience, biomedicine, neurochemistry of the brain, brain anatomy, morphology and histology of nervous tissue, neurogenesis, cognitive physiology.

Core courses: principles of organization of the nervous systems of animals, methods and technologies of brain research at various levels, cellular neurobiology, molecular neurobiology, electrophysiology, experimental neurophysiology, physiology of higher nervous activity, neuropsychology, methods of structural and functional brain mapping, optogenetics, hemogenetics.

Professional Training / Internships

This master's programme includes a number of internships: teacher training, research work, practical training.

Teaching practice It is one of the stages of the master thesis preparation. It is carried out after completing the core disciplines within the "Management of scientific and educational activities" module.

Internships objectives: to lay the foundations of professionalism and high competence of the teacher of biology, to master competencies of pedagogical activity: constructive, motivational, communication, information, research.

The internship includes four types of activities: educational work (lectures, practical exercises and laboratory work), methodical work (planning and development of the content of all forms of classroom teaching, educational work (improving the communication skills of students), scientific research (project implementation on educational topics).

Stages of practice: Introduction to the terms and conditions of practice in basic education institutions. The study of the safety regulations for laboratory work, taking basic intriductory part and the test. Consistent journal. The report on training. Presentation of the outcomes of the training.

Practical training.

The range of research topics in the Institute; academic publications on the chosen topic; methodology of experimentation and scientific equipment for the chosen direction of research. The major outcome for a student is in diverse research experience on a given topic.
