Kaliningrad, 29-Jan-2021 – Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University is happy to announce that the Educational Commission of Foreign Medical Graduates (short. ECFMG) has accredited IKBFU and the degree programmes: “General Medicine” and “General Medicine (in English)” implemented at the University. The University has become the 70th Russian educational institution running degree programmes in the field of Medicine and Healthcare that was granted the ECFMG Sponsor Note. It serves as a confirmation that students and graduates of a medical school/university are eligible to apply for and take the examination for ECFMG Certification – an assessment of the readiness of international medical students to enter international residency and fellowship programmes. In the case of IKBFU based on the decision of the Accreditation Commission, those who graduated starting from 2017 onwards, can apply to take the examination.
