“Enhancing Education Programs in Arts and Humanities via EU STEM Methods and Technologies / ARTEST”
July 31, 2020 – Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency of the European Union has published selection results of the 2019 call for application for Erasmus+ KA2: Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education 2020. Out of hundreds of applications submitted under the category “Cross-Regional Projects Involving Region 4 – Russian Federation” the European Commission has decided to support only 12 with the project “Enhancing Education Programs in Arts and Humanities via EU STEM Methods and Technologies / ARTEST” among them. The project is coordinated by the University of Cologne (Germany), IKBFU is one of 11 partners that are going to develop and implement various activities in the next three years.
The project aims at rethinking education in the Humanities through its reinforcement by adopting digital methods of research and education that will lead help the graduates to catch up with the latest trends in the labor market. It is achieved when graduates with degrees in Arts and Humanities who traditionally demonstrate high levels of soft skills development, acquire digital skills associated usually with STEM programmes.
In the course of the Project implementation, it is planned to develop and launch a brand-new study programme that combines strong sides of both the Humanities and STEM educational programmes. Such synthesis will be based on an integrated digital educational environment which will create excellent conditions for professional and personal development of young professionals.
