Implementation of a unique international project within the Erasmus+ KA2 programme “Enhancing Education Programs in Arts and Humanities via EU STEM Methods and Technologies / ARTEST” launched at the beginning of March with a kick-off meeting that took place online because of the current epidemiological situation.

At the kick-off meeting, IKBFU was represented by Tatyana Tsvigun, the Director of the Institute for the Humanities, Violetta Philippova, Head of the Division for Internationalization and International Partnerships, and Ilya Dementiev, Associate Professor of the Institute for the Humanities. In the course of the event delegations of all members of the Consortium which united 11 European, Russian, and Mongolian educational institutions gave presentations about their institutions, exchange their experience in educational and scientific activities within the field of Digital Humanities, and discussed the goals, main stages, and process of implementation of the ARTEST project which is going to be completed in 3-year time.


During their presentation, IKBFU representatives described the University’s profile, introduced the project team, elaborate on the University’s background in the field of Digital Humanities both in the area of education – implementation of the Master degree programme in Digital Humanities – and research projects such as digitalization of media projects, development of online databases to preserve the heritage of the region as well as creating 3D models of places and objects with significant historical value.
