November 9 – 13, 2020 – IKBFU ALLVET project team participated in a training course «English for Specific Purposes» within the Erasmus+ KA2 project «HE and VET alliance establishment according to Bologna Principals implementation via VET teachers’ capacity building / ALLVET». In the course of the training, numerous aspects vital for the implementation of the project and achieving its aims and goal were discussed. Those included approaches to creating and giving presentations in English, enriching field-related vocabulary, strategies for compiling CVs, and cover letters. In addition, tips for success at an interview and creating an outstanding letter of motivation were elaborated on.
At the end of the course as an outcome of the 4-day training, all the participants gave presentations devoted to the courses they teach at their home institutions. The presentations had to shed the light on such characteristic features of the courses discussed as the content, goals, expected outcomes, mode of assessment, etc.
IKBFU was represented at this meeting by Elena Zimovina, PhD., Senior Researcher of Sociological laboratory for the Risk Analysis, Modeling, and Prognostication, Alexandra Gulina, Specialist of the International Office, Kseniia Degtyarenko, Ph.D., Manager of Degree Programmes at the Institute of Education, Irina Ostroverkhaia, Ph.D., associate professor of the Resource Centre for Foreign Languages and Elena Kulikova, a student majoring in Pedagogical Science.
