On the October 10th IKBFU’s Rector Alexander Fedorov met Consul General of South Korea mister Kvon Dong Sok. The two sides discussed the cooperation development on the academics sphere. Rector Alexander Fedorov welcomed the guests and noted that since 2013 the IKBFU has been participating in “Dialogue Russia – Republic of Korea”. And the University has been chosen as a platform for this event twice.
“That the first time in the IKBFU’s history, when seven students of the Busan University of foreign languages come here to learn Russian. We should support this right trend. I used to cooperate with Korean universities a lot during my previous occupation (Translator’s note: as the Rector of Nizhniy Novgorod State University), with Seoul National University, in particular. This cooperation was very fruitful. And I hope that we will be able to develop this kind of cooperation between IKBFU and Korean Universities too. And we do have plans for this cooperation. We plan to send our delegation to Seoul National University in the next year to discuss the fields of studies that may be of great interest for both universities’ cooperation. And I am deeply in love with Seoul; it’s a beautiful city I’d enjoyed visiting several times”.
Mister Kvon Dong Sok has expressed his gratitude to the IKBFU’s Rector for providing a hosting platform for the Korean songs and dances contest.
Mr. Kvon Dong Sok:
“We will be glad if you visit our University during your planned trip to the Republic. We are willing to participate in student exchanges and other projects between Korean universities and the IKBFU”.
