IKBFU Scientists Got the RFBR Grant for the Contest on the Topic “Big Data in the Post-genomic Era”

A group of scientists from the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University got the Russian Foundation for Basic Research grant for the implementation of their study on the topic “Impact of mutational load on human health: analysis of threshold effects in large population and cohort samples”.

The research group, which is headed by Prof. Konstantin Popadin, consists of Ilia Mazunin, Konstantin Gunbin, Kristina Ushakova, Alina A. Mihailova, Alina G. Mihailova, Victor Shamanskiy, Valeria Timonina and Anastasia Sokol.

All in all, 59 projects participated in the contest on the topic 26-813 “Big data in the post-genomic era”, though, due to the examination results, only 22 projects were approved, including the project of the IKBFU research group. The total grant amount is 4 million rubles.
