Australian physicist lectures for undergraduates of the program "Functional nanomaterials"

4 July 2018
Professor of Sydney University of Technology (Australia) Mikhail Lapin arrived at the invitation of IKBFU to give a course of lectures for undergraduates of the English-language program in Functional nanomaterials. Mikhail Lapin graduated from the Physics Department of Lomonosov’s Moscow State University in 1997 and initially worked in the field of biophysics and biochemistry. Since 2001, the scientist has been investigating the latest artificial materials: "metamaterials."

Mikhail Lapin arrives at the university and at the “Fabrika” Science and Technology Park not for the first time, he was here last year at the IKBFU Laboratory of New Magnetic Materials while participating in the scientific conference on magnetic phenomena. In this visit, he gives a course of lectures for undergraduates of the English-language program in Functional Nanomaterials. The students demonstrate a good level of preparation and actively ask questions on the research topic. Thanks to the “Fabrika” Science and Technology Park students and postgraduates have an excellent opportunity to interact with people who are engaged in advanced scientific developments around the world.
