17 April 2018The IKBFU’s Smart Stop project has received 1,000 roubles at the Startup Hub of IPQuorum 2018 – International Strategic Forum on Intellectual Property. The event was held on April 11-12 in the resort town of Svetlogorsk. Kaliningrad companies and organisations presented 17 start-ups. The forum distinguished two of the IKBFU’s hi-tech projects.
A grand prize of 1 million roubles was awarded to the Smart Stop joint project between the IKBFU’s Fabrika science park and the AlanTech company.
The first prize of 300 thousand roubles was awarded to the ‘Source of Low-Temperature Plasma Jet’ project, launched by the IKBFU’s doctoral students Anton Ivankov.
Aleksandr Popov, Deputy Head of the IKBFU’s Centre for Hi-Tech Entrepreneurship and Innovative Projects:
‘The Smart Stop is an urbanistic hit-tech project. This public transportation stop generates electric powers and cleans the air. The users will be welcome to charge their gadgets and benefit from the in-built multimedia systems. The first Smart Stop will be installed by this autumn.’
‘Our next goals are testing, obtaining the licence, and breaking into the market. We are happy to be supported at such an event. We are very optimistic about our future and looking forward to entering the medical devices market.’
