11 August 2017A group of the IKFBU’s students took part in a summer school held by the European Innovation Academy (EIA). This year, Italy’s Turin hosted the event. Developed in collaboration with the UC Berkeley, Stanford University, the Ferrero company and other prominent universities and enterprises, the EIA’s programme is considered one of the best in the world. Eighty universities from 65 countries took part in the summer school.
Russia was represented by the IKBFU’s team, which brought together six master’s degree and PhD students specialising in management, biology, and physics, and one professor – Dr Natalya Borodavkina.
Dr Natalia Borodavkina:
This is a unique practice-oriented programme. It gives a chance to deliver a presentation to representatives of venture investment funds. It is a great opportunity to raise seed capital from investors – Amazon Capital, Garages Technology Venture, and others. The jury comprising top managers of the Academy’s major partners considered 95 projects. Forty-one start-ups made it to the finals. Later, ten of them were selected.
