Friederike Klempin from Max Delbruck Center for Molecular Medicine Gives a Lecture on Serotonin

On March 22. Dr.Fredericke Klempin one of the leading researchers from the Centre of Molecular Medicine (Berlin, Germany) visited the Institute of Living Systems and gave a lecture on serotonin in the brain and periphery. Serotonin is one of the main neurotransmitters, which is often called the hormone of good mood or the hormone of happiness.

Dr.Fredericke Klempin spoke about a series of experiments on rodents done in the Center for Molecular Medicine which allowed the researchers to study the effect of the lack of  serotonin on different functional systems of the body.
