Dr Michael Farle, Head of the IKBFU FunMagMa Centre, Publishes an Article in the Prestigious NATURE journal

6 February 2017

The NATURE International Weekly Journal of Science has invited Dr Michael Farle, a guest professor of the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University, head of the Centre of Functionalized Magnetic Materials to write an article for its "News and Views" section.

The article describes the latest breakthroughs in the development of nanoparticle imaging techniques.

In his article, http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v542/n7639/full/542035a.html  Dr Michael Farley comments on the latest developments in nanoparticles high-resolution imaging techniques.  The locations of atoms in a metallic alloy nanoparticle have been determined using a combination of electron microscopy and image simulation, revealing links between the particle's structure and magnetic properties.
