Institute of Recreation, Tourism and Sports
Established in November 2014, the Institute of Recreation, Tourism, and Sports incorporated the Higher School of Tourism and the Higher School of Physical Education. The Institute is committed to training specialists in inbound and outbound tourism and sports. The training process is streamlined in collaboration with prospective employers. Eight hundred seventy-six students, including 116 master’s degree students study at the Institute. The academic staff brings together 48 lecturers, including seven full professors, 23 associate professors, and 10 practicing specialists.
The Institute benefits from the local historical and cultural potential and the University’s sports facilities. The latter include a basketball and volleyball court, a football pitch, a six-lane swimming pool, a gym, a table tennis room, and a dance studio. The Arena Kantiana stadium is deigned to host football, futsal, and rugby matches and other activities. The Institute’s facilities also include a hotel and a hostel with a total of 66 beds.
