International Language Exams
IKBFU International Test Centre was established in 2013 as a structural unit of the University in order to organise and run international language examinations. It became possible thanks to the agreements signed between Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University and Cambridge English Language Assessment and the French Institute (Institut Français). Thus, IKBFU International Test Centre is authorised to run international exams in English and French. Moreover, the University is also capable of organising international exams in German and Polish.
Cambridge English Exams
The Centre is an internal centre at the University authorised to run the entire range of Cambridge English Exams, including those in professional English and qualifications for English language teachers. The Centre organises exams for the University students, academic staff and the organisations and institutions associated with the University or implementing joint programmes and projects.
Obtaining Cambridge English Certificates opens up new opportunities for the students in continuing their postgraduate studies abroad, as well as participation in different international programmes and projects. Moreover, Certificates of corresponding level are recognized within Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University as eligible for Master’s Degree and Postgraduate studies, so students do not need to take entrance exams in English. The Certificate also enables the staff members to significantly increase their academic mobility.
In 2015, IKBFU International Test Centre was acknowledged as the best centre among higher educational institutions in Russia by the Moscow Office of Cambridge English Language Assessment.
The Centre also administers the whole range of international examinations in the French language for both young learners and adults. The Certificates issued by the French Institute are internationally recognized and necessary for those who wish to continue their studies or work in French-speaking countries.
