The programme aims at training highly qualified professionals in environmental chemistry, chemical expert assessment and environmental safety, which may prevent or minimize damage to the environment.

04.04.01. Chemistry. Chemical Expert Assessment and Environmental Safety.

Duration of the Programme: 2 years.

Courses & Study Load

ECTS value of the programme - 120 credits

Core courses: global ecology, ecology of manufacture, analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry, organic chemistry, laboratory evaluation of food products quality, environmental assessment of production processes, the ecological environmental monitoring, forensic chemical examination, legal regulation of environmental assessment, testing laboratories quality assurance.

Professional Training / Internships

This master programme includes a number of intenships: teacher training; practical (undergraduate) training; and research work. Teacher training and practical training are mandatory and represent the kind of training sessions specifically focused on vocational and practical training of students. Teaching training is carried out in the structural units of the University, various institutions of chemical profile. Practical training is carried out in various chemical institutions.

Practical training is carried out either on the premises of the Institute of living systems, in the IKBFU Innovation Park, or in other organizations (research institutes, laboratories, health and environmental control laboratories, Roshydromet units, customs control laboratories, water testing certification centers, departments of the State Environmental Committee). All internships outside the university are covered with single or long-term government contracts.

Admission & Tuition
To enter a Master's programme  applicants are  required to take the following exams:

  • Written exam  (or a test)  in the chosen field of study (100 points maximum)

  • Foreign language (a pass or fail  test)

We also accept international certificates of proficiency in English

Cambridge exam: PET, FCE, CAE, CPE; IELTS; TOEFL or

German: Goethe-Zertifikat A2, Goethe-Zertifikat Fit in Deutsch, Goethe-Zertifikat B1 / B2 , -Goethe-Zertifikat C1, Goethe-Zertifikat C2: GDS, test DaF, DSD B2 / C1, - telc A2 / B1 / C1 / C2, -ÖSD, -DSH.
