Programme Information

The programme aims at training highly qualified professionals who are capable of performing simultaneous, consecutive interpretation and written translation in different situations of professional and business communication.

Master's degree programme is designed to meet the needs of the labor market and the current level of employers’ requirements to the specialists in translation and intercultural communication.

The programme focuses on providing both theoretical training in the field of translation studies, and intensive development of practical skills at consecutive and simultaneous interpreting as well as written translation.

Upon completing the Programme, you will be able to:

  • work for various conferences, symposia, seminars, talks and other events using several working languages;

  • lead small teams of linguists, who work on some certain research or practical tasks.

Core disciplines: History and methodology of science; History, culture and art of the country of the first studied foreign language; General Linguistics and History of Linguistic Studies; Practical Workshop on the Russian language; Professionally oriented discourse; State protocol and etiquette; Translation; Consecutive interpretation.

Admission & Tuition

To enter a Master's programme  applicants are  required to take the following exams:

  • Written exam  (or a test)  in the chosen field of study (100 points maximum)

  • Foreign language (a pass or fail  test)

We also accept international certificates of proficiency in English

Cambridge exam: PET, FCE, CAE, CPE; IELTS; TOEFL or

German: Goethe-Zertifikat A2, Goethe-Zertifikat Fit in Deutsch, Goethe-Zertifikat B1 / B2 , -Goethe-Zertifikat C1, Goethe-Zertifikat C2: GDS, test DaF, DSD B2 / C1, - telc A2 / B1 / C1 / C2, -ÖSD, -DSH.
