The goal of the programme is to train highly qualified professionals in modern fundamental and applied physics, materials studies, nanomaterials and nanostructures. The graduates will be capable of solving the physics related and engineering problems on the structure of matter.

The programme is based on a number of core courses: fundamentals of nanophotonics, quantum theory of atoms and molecules, laser physics and optoelectronics, experimental methods for studying condensed matter physics, the magnetic properties of metals and alloys, numerical modeling of physical processes, experimental automation, physics of fundamental interactions, quantum information processing methods of astronomy and astrophysics.
