Programme Information

The goal of the programme is to train highly qualified professionals in modern fundamental and applied physics, materials studies, nanomaterials and nanostructures. The graduates will be capable of solving the physics related and engineering problems on the structure of matter.

Upon completing the programme the graduates will be able to:

  • carry out research in the fundamental and applied physics, including radio-frequency methods of matter investigation, X-ray optics and spectroscopy, X-ray nanodiagnostics;

  • be able to apply modern methods of physical research; conduct studies of properties of the new magnetic materials and nano-materials, etc.;

  • explore new magnetic materials, dielectrics and semiconductors.

ECTS value of the programme: 240 credits

The programme is based on a number of core courses: fundamentals of nanophotonics, quantum theory of atoms and molecules, laser physics and optoelectronics, experimental methods for studying condensed matter physics, the magnetic properties of metals and alloys, numerical modeling of physical processes, experimental automation, physics of fundamental interactions, quantum information processing methods of astronomy and astrophysics.
